Adult, Adolescent, & Child Psychotherapy

Over the past 25 years of practicing psychotherapy, I have found that a client’s success is based on creating a space where they feel understood, valued and that they have control in the therapeutic process. My approach is to meet clients where they are emotionally and provide tools that are effective for them.

I have amassed knowledge about many different approaches to treatment. This includes, but is not limited to, CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, Psycho-Education, IFS, Family Systems Theory, Attachment Theory, Experiential Therapy, Somatic & Body-Based Regulation Tools, Art Therapy, and Equine and Canine Assisted Psychotherapy.

What does all of this mean? I believe all of these methods can have value, when paired with a healthy clinical relationship;building a safe, boundaried, and collaborative space in which to do the therapeutic work is essential to good and effective treatment. I strive to create an environment that is comfortable, direct, and clinically sound.

Lastly, I believe that the end result of good therapy is to gain insight about yourself and ultimately become your own expert. Understanding what tools work for you, how to implement them, and gaining insight to your inner process allows me to work myself out of a job, and empower you to grow into the version of yourself that you want to be.
